All well set for a beguiling final day !

Of late, more often than not South Africa has developed a penchant for leaving all and showing all talent on the final last innings and then writing a big escape. As they did successfully setting the second-highest chase in their last tour on Austrailia home soil, now they have found themselves with a task one level above of the previous chase - setting the highest chase in the Test History. Whether they will do so for one more time or not , is something which will enthrall everyone on final day. There will be runs, wickets, tense moments, full packed stadium - overall the complete cricket tomorrow.

In contrast to the late criticism of the quality of pitches currently provided to the teams like 1st Test - Pak vs SL at Karachi where both teams scored more than 600 or the current test - WI vs Eng proceeding at Barbados where also both have scored around 600 runs - that the pitch offers nothing to the bowler, the quality of pitch here in Johannesburg is nice as within 4 days of play , 30 wickets have fallen. So, in an attempt to win , the onus is again on South Africa to tackle the challenge provided by the pitch and to not lose wickets in a bizarre way. As in the last big chase, Smith today also contributed with a nice knock of 69 , though he threw away his wicket today and that was not a killer delivery from the bowler. It would have been nice if he were still on the crease to start tomorrow morning. Nonetheless, currently Kallis and Amla have well adjusted to the pitch and its all on them to maneuver the side towards victory.

To speak of me, just as all other mortal wish for a miracle , so do I. I will be again capturing all the final day moments to see the winner tomorrow and I hope that South Africa again produce a miracle.
